John – I have been meaning to email you to thank you and Sue for cooking for us on Saturday. The testimonials on your web-site do not lie about how good the paella is and how much everyone enjoys it. You certainly impressed all of my guests and they really enjoyed the food. My kids and their friends were raving about it and I have had plenty of thank you emails from people saying how much they enjoyed it. The party finally ended about midnight when the rain set in in earnest but other than that we had a great day.

Here it is: Paella Parties experience made them head and shoulders above their competitors when it came to choosing someone to do catering at my Birthday Party for 80 people in the garden and their pricing was very competitive too. John guided me through the Paella choices and was so helpful with his advice. The comments on the night and afterwards were full of praise for the delicious paella that was cooked, it was a real feature of the night and the presentation was really outstanding. Not only is it all dairy and gluten free but an added bonus were the recycled palm leaf plates and wooden forks. There was more than enough for everyone to have seconds and we were left with the remainder all boxed up so nothing went to waste. I think there was a small hardcore group who did not brave the stairs for food, and opted for ‘liquid refreshments’, but everyone I have spoken to since said they were embarrassed to admit they had eaten and then gone back for seconds! To which of course I said that I was delighted! Paella for supper on Sunday night was also a wonderful treat. Thank you so much for your professionalism – we were so busy organising and running the party (and enjoying it!), so it was a joy to work with someone as organised and easy as you. I really can't recommend John and his fantastic Paella highly enough. We booked him for our wedding and knew straightaway from first contact we had made the right choice. That's quite alright. We were partying hard. Thank you very much to you and Pip for doing such a good job for us. I was relaxed that the food was completely under control even if the weather wasn't! But the party spirit kicked in and it was a late night! Lots of complements about the paella - you will have seen that given the repeat seconds! And lovely to have the remains boxed up. My sisters all took some home and the rest is sitting very satisfactorily in the freezer. Hope you can now add 'I can cook paella even in several inches of hail' to your repertoire!

John- I can't let the day end without telling you how much we all enjoyed yesterday and star of the show was the pealla! Thank you so much for helping our party such a success - everyone was full of praise about the wonderful taste, the decent size of the portions (no one left hungry!). One person told me he had spent some time going to Spain and your pealla was completely authentic and delicious. It was a lovely day - particularly for me - I actually had time to spend with the people I love and relax, chat instead of running around trying to do it all. May I just say that you were a resounding success with all our friends who were thrilled to have the drama of watching you cook, the sheer theatricality of the huge pans and the delicious taste of each separate dish. Everyone has also remarked on how easy it was to eat. I think another time we will do less of the Veggie one and more of the Fish as that was probably the most popular of all. I am also Events Manager for the Friends of Chichester Harbour and will certainly be in touch to arrange to provide them with a similar event. Usually we do a BBQ every year but I think next year we might have a Paella Party instead. I will email you as soon as we have decided on a date, probably you will hear from me just before Christmas. I am sorry it has taken us so long to email. It has been a very busy few weeks.

We wanted to thank you for the delicious paellas you cooked for Lucy's 18th. They really were sensational - enjoyed by all. As you said, the next day we were able to reflect on the party and enjoy the remaining paellas all over again. Yummy!

We wanted also to express our thanks for your support during that very snowy day! The fact that you were able to get here in the end, that you were patient and flexible with changing numbers as we tried to decide what to do about the snowy conditions - was all very much appreciated.

Lucy and her friends really loved your paellas and enjoyed watching you create them - as we all did - so we hope that we will be able to find another occasion soon to try your paellas once again. Next time, we'll plan for a warmer time of the year!

Sorry I did not get back to you, things seem to have been fairly chaotic since our holidays, guess when you reach fifty you have to work harder!!!!   My 50th party was a huge success and the food was gorgeous, everyone remarked on how excellent the paella was, I think we all went back for extras. Charles and Vera were excellent, they cooked the best paella then cleared up and disappeared allowing us to carry on partying, what more could you ask for.  I will certainly be recommending you to all my friends and hope to attend another paella party soon.

Jonathan and I would like to say thank you again for the wonderful food on Saturday. People are still calling us up to say how tasty it was. You were great with all our guests and I'm sure you'll be getting calls in the future to do their parties too! It was a shame that the weather wasn't great, but numerous people have told us they didn't notice the weather because they were enjoying the entertainment you provided whilst cooking.
We enjoyed the paella the next day too - absolutely delicious.
The only issue we now have is how to top this party next time!
By the way, I have one of your plates here which must have slipped through the net. Next time you're visiting your son, let me know and I'll drop it over.

As you know, we didn't have the best of weather, but for us the food really

A bit late but not because I didn't appreciate the great job you did on Friday.

Thank you so much! I think everyone was intrigued and impressed - first with how you cooked, and then with how good it all tasted. I'm sure they will all go out and sing your praises.

We completed all the walks without losing anyone or getting too wet. On Sunday we set out as it stopped raining and it started again 3 hours later just as we reached the pub for lunch. Someone was smiling on us.
We'll look forward to seeing you at the Risso-Gil's in August, if not before.

Sorry I didn't email you yesterday, I meant to but it went out of my head!  We're in the process of buying a house, say no more!  Anyway, thank you so much for Saturday night, I thought it was fantastic.  The paella was truly one of the most delicious meals I have ever had, it's right up my street!  Everyone that I spoke to enjoyed it as well and the demonstration was very interesting.  As I said to you, it is quite difficult to get people to come to functions at the club, and after a slow start we got there in the end.

The party was a great success - everyone loved watching you make the paella and seeing all the delicious ingredients.  I had many complimentary remarks about the night and the generous portions!  As you say, a very interesting group of friends all with strong opinions and tastes who all had a super time.  I would highly recommend you to anyone considering a party - I also think you could do well in the corporate market.  As a professional events organiser, I know that people are always looking for the unusual and unique attraction for their event.  I belong to a buyers' club so if anyone asks for a great party idea, will put you forward. Have you considered exhibiting at RSVP, the big party/event planner show in April?  You could do a great demonstration at the event, which would showcase you to the corporate and charity market.

I may well do a re-run in the summer, when we can all be outside and have a lovely time and be less squashed.
